ShivaListings.com will offer additional services, such as prayer and reminder services in the future.

After the passing of a loved one, Yahrzeit prayers are to be said three times a day for 11 months following the passing.

ShivaListings.com will provide mourners with peace of mind, by letting them know that their loved one is being prayed for by a group of rabbis and their congregants.

Even if you choose not to pray the full 11 months, it is highly suggested that a mourner prays during the Shiva period, as well as the four times a year when the prayer is to be said.

ShivaListings.com will also offer a reminder service, which informs mourners of the four times a year which kaddish is to be said.  These dates are based on the Jewish calander, which differs from the Roman calendar, which is traditionally used by most people.  By requesting this service, mourners are notified via email as well as traditional mail one week in advance to notify them that a time of prayer is coming up.  Also, mourners will receive a copy of the kaddish prayer which is to be said.
